What is it?
This committee oversees all matters related to training and residency programmes within ECAR.
Who is on it?

At least 6 members.

Must be ECAR Diplomates.

Represent different species groups and subspecialities (companion animal, ruminants, porcine, equine and biotechnology).

Appointed by the Board.

Serve a 3-year term (re-appointment also possible).

A Chairperson is elected by the Committee members.
Duties

Residency Training Standards

Define criteria for approval of training institutions and residency programmes.

Monitor, approve, and re-certify training institutions and residency programmes.

Assess and approve annual Resident evaluations.

Annually assess progress of Residents.

Grant final approval before admission to the ECAR examination.
