What is it?

A standing committee of the College responsible for preparing and administering the qualifying examination for new Diplomates.

Who is on it?

  • At least 6 members.

  • Must be active ECAR Diplomates.

  • Represent different species groups and subspecialities.

  • Appointed by the Board of the College.

  • Serve a 3-year term (re-appointment possible).

  • A Chairperson is elected by the Committee members.

Duties

  • Annually prepare and administer the ECAR qualifying examination.

  • Work under the direction of and report to the Board of the College.

  • Assess candidate performance and provide written feedback when necessary.
